Charlottesville Tax Day Tea Party

According to Heritage Foundation senior analyst Brian Riedl, while the top 20% of taxpayers now pay 80% of all taxes collected by the government, under the Obama plan, the top 20% of tax filers would pay 90% of all taxes, and the number of families who owe no tax would climb to near 50%. Since Obama won the election on Nov. 4th the stock market has dropped 3132 points to it’s lowest in 20 years. Every time he gives a speech it drops even more. His policies are bad for business and therefore bad for the people.

For everyone that has had it with our new tax and spend administration April 15th will be your chance to demonstrate your displeasure. We are planning a tea party to be held in downtown Charlottesville. It will start on the east end of the Downtown Mall by City Hall and will end in front of Tom Periello’s office on S. First Street. The time has yet to be determined. Anyone interested in participating can send an email to

More updates will be posted here as they occur.

    Dear Sirs:
I have heard about the rally and will be in attendance. If there is a desire for comments on the the negative impact the stimulus package will have on health care, I would be willing to contribute

There are two parking garages and two public parking lots within a couple of blocks of the Pavilion.

Since it’s a party, should we bring food and/or snacks?

Let’s get the people back in politics. Let’s use our first amendment rights. They are supposed to be working for us, right? Across the board, we have been let down!

We will be in attendance. We the people need to take back our government and need to be heard.
